It had to be done. As part of the Dr Who retrospective, the culters had to suffer through the tv movie of Dr Who. It was rather akin to pulling teeth. Referred to as “the American movie” by many fans, is it as bad as all that?? Is it even worthy of being considered part of the canon?
Produced in Canada by Universal Television and BBC Worldwide, the movie premiered in Canada on 12th May 1996. It was produced by Peter V Ware and Matthew Jacobs, directed by Geoffrey Sax, scripted by Matthew Jacobs and it starred Paul McGann as the 8th Doctor, Sylvester McCoy as the 7th Doctor, Eric Roberts as the Master, Daphne Ashbrook as Grace Halloway, and Yee Jee Tso as Chang Lee.
