Lisa brings an old childhood favourite to the table this month. This was a show that still lives on “rent free”, in her head and yes, she can sing the theme song. She does know all the words. So why did this make such a big impression on young Lisa. Will it have the same impact for Mackenzie. Will it hold up and what will the other culters think of it.
Series created by Barbara Pyle and Ted Turner and produced by Turner Program Services and DIC Enterprises. It was broadcast on TBS in the U.S. Mission to Save Earth Pt 1 7 2 (episodes 22 & 23) first aired on the 11th of May 1991 and the 18th of May 1991 respectively. The episodes feature; LeVar Burton as Kwame, (earth) Joey Dedio as James Wheeler, (fire), Kath Soucie as Linka, (Wind), Janice Kawaye as Gi, (water) and Scott Menville as Ma-Ti (heart). David Coburn voices Captain Planet and in this two parter the arch villain, captain pollution.
