Rupert, series 5, episode 8 first aired on the 15th May 1997 in Canada. Written by Patrick Granleese and directed by Gary Hurst. Voice acting Rupert is Julie Lemieux. The character of Rupert Bear was created by Mary Tourtel for the Daily Express in 1920 and it is still running. Yes Rupert is now over 100 years old, and has not aged a day.
