Local Historian, Martin Walker, talks about the history of Mother’s Day, currently featured in an exhibition at the Gawler Civic Centre, hosted by the Gawler Culture and Heritage Centre. Marin, who curated the exhibition shares insights from his research into the background of mother’s day and how it came to be the marketing behemoth of today from simple and idealistic beginnings.
