150 years ago a story about a Variety entertainment reflects how values have changed, 100 years ago illegal booking was keeping the local court busy, 50 years ago mushrooms were making news, 25 years ago the papers mourns the ending of the Lighting up of Gawler’s legendary Christmas Tree, and ten years ago the eight year battle against cancer of a Gawler man inspired his mate to a change of career.
