Looking Back with the Bunyip: Wednesday 26th October
Looking back at Gawler’s history through the columns of the Bunyip Newspaper with Janette and Kay from Wednesday 26th October 2022
150 years ago the Paper featured a story about snakes in a cemetery, 100 years ago Gawler’s drought was damaging crops, 50 years ago Gawler council had its first woman nominee, 25 years ago a new report on the gum tree was received, and ten years ago local pubs were responding to the problem of late night violence.
The Gawler Now and Then image is of the Kingsford Hotel 1936 .
