150 years ago a serious accident befell the unfortunate Mr Emslie, 100 years ago an entertaining thief was up before the local magistrate, 50 years ago a local student was crowned Miss Gawler, 25 years ago a council merger received the “thumbs up”, and ten years ago the work of local volunteers was recognised.
