Festival of Words 2018

Welcome to our monthly writing podcast with Carolyn, and Janette Marilyn having taken a holiday to visit family in the U.S. this month. Inspired by the May Poets at the Pub guest poet Juan Garrido Salgado, Janette and Carolyn discussed political poetry. Carolyn read two of her own poems. Janette read a segment of a William Butler Yeats poem about the Easter uprising of 1916 as well as a sample from one her more political novels.
There is no “word of the month” as both Carolyn and Janette were rather preoccupied with the upcoming Festival of Words about which there was some discussion.
As the Festival of Words was imminent that was the subject of the Listener’s Challenge.
