Part of the Series “Chapter and Verse
Produced by on August 19, 2018

Adelaide Plains Chapter and Verse monthly podcast recorded Thursday 31st May at the P/A Hotel, Murray St Gawler.

Welcome to our monthly writing podcast with Carolyn, Marilyn and Janette. The big news item for the month was the launching of the Adelaide Plains Festival of Words Program. The discussion was about film and tv adaptations of novels.  Carolyn expressed her disappointment with the Dune adaptation, Janette enthused about the Peter Weir film Picnic at Hanging Rock and Marilyn talked about various Agatha Christie adaptations while pondering the means of adapting books to films.

Carolyn provided the monthly writer’s tip and the forgotten words for this month are “aquabibe” and “swilking”. If you want to know what they mean listen to our podcast.

The Listener’s Challenge is to come up with a wise saying.

Please use the GBA email for submissions, ([email protected]) and put APCaV Gawler Icons in the title.
