The Gawler Broadcasting Association has won three runner-up Bilby Awards at the South Australian Annual Community Broadcasting dinner. “This is a big deal for us, since we’re competing against every community radio station in the state”, said GBA Chairperson Cody Davies. “Usually the awards get swept by huge city stations like Radio Adelaide and Life FM but we managed to hold our own as a new and small group.”

Lisa Simmons won an award for her Miscellany Podcast in the “Can’t Get Out of the Car” category, while Barry Neylon won an award for Best Interview, with a third award being won in the Community Engagement category for an event co-hosted by GBA and the Gawler Car Club.
