Summer in Gawler

Part of the Series “Chapter and Verse
Produced by on August 6, 2018

January 2018

Welcome to our monthly writing podcast with Carolyn, Marilyn and Janette joined mid recording by Katherine.

The discussion featured writers Ursula K. Le Guin who recently passed away and Robert Burns, it being Burns day in Scotland. Katherine arrived in time to read a Burn’s poem. OK we know that a Yorkshire accent is certainly not the same but it is closer than any of us “stralians”.

The “Word of the Month” was two words, Janette having picked out one from her calendar then come across another word in her research. They were “bundling” and “cordwainer” and if you want to know what they mean listen to the podcast.

Caroline, Katherine and Janette read samples of their own work.

The Gawler Icons Listener’s challenge for this month is Summer in Gawler as the mercury was hovering around forty the day we were recording..

Please use the GBA email for submissions, ([email protected]) and put APCaV Gawler Icons in the title.
