Brass Eye; Drugs.

Welcome to the Classic Cult TV Club, (CCtvC), with Lisa, Alex, Angus, Gypsy, Janette and Justin.

For a change of pace after Treking Across the Universe the Culters dip into some subversive British comedy with Brass Eye. This series achieved cult status in the late nineties, with its scathing parodies of current affairs programs. In just six episodes and one later special Brass Eye had quite an impact and stirred up plenty of controversy.

Episode aired on 5th February 1997 on Channel 4 U.K. Created by Chris Morris, a familiar face to IT Crowd fans, (yes we will get to that) the series was also written by Morris with co-writers, David Quantick, Peter Bavnham, Jane Bussmann, Arther Mathers, Graham Linehan and Charlie Brooker. It was directed by Michael Cumming and stars Chris Morris.

**Warning, Brass Eye is most definitely not a “family viewing” show and so some of the discussion in this podcast touches on “adult themes” such as, obviously, drugs. **
