Looking back at Gawler’s history through the columns of the Bunyip Newspaper with Janette and Kay from Wednesday 5th April 2023
150 years ago Para Para hosted a Sunday School picnic, 100 years ago all locomotives were painted black, 50 years ago roses were the big news story for the district, 25 years ago locals were calling for a corella cull, and 10 years ago a new “den” for the Lions was being planned.
The Gawler Now and Then image is of F.T.Bunting, Coach Painter, next door to Gawler Arms Hotel c 1904.
