150 years ago Christmas was making news, 100 years ago seasonal spending was remarked upon, 50 years ago the quest for “Miss Chickorama” was being launched, 25 years ago thousands were expected to attend Gawler’s Christmas Street Party, and 10 years ago local students were receiving their exam results.
