150 years ago a refractory at Gawler Station was cause for much discussion, 100 years ago Gawler residents were not excited by the subject of “rationalism”, 50 years ago a major sports complex planning is well under way, 25 years ago the year 2000 millennial bug is being discussed and 10 years ago renovations of the Golden Fleece Hotel, (formally the Old Spot) are nearing completion.
