- 150 years ago the paper reported on a destructive fire at Freeling,
 - 100 years ago a story with the headline council decides “no further action” was printed,
 - 50 years ago 4800 students were recorded in school enrolments,
 - 25 years ago an article on a 20-year fight to slow traffic was published,
 - 10 years ago a story on the state needing $70m for a health facility ran in the paper.
