150 years ago the Bunyip reported on proceedings at the Barossa Goldfields, 100 years ago a robbery in Murray st shocked the locals, 50 years ago plans were afoot for converting the Gawler Mill into a restaurant 25 years ago the Gawler Racecourse was about to get a $50 million makeover, and 10 years ago the community was concerned about the closure of the Gawler Waste Transfer Station.
