150 years ago the tranquillity of Gawler’s streets were disturbed by an inebriated “son of Vulcan”, 100 years ago two horses were killed by an electricity pole, 50 years ago a former Gawler theatre sold for a record amount, 25 years ago Gawler was to host a major gliding event, and 10 years ago the Roseworthy Railway Club was celebrating a significant anniversary.
