Looking back at Gawler’s history through the columns of the Bunyip Newspaper with Janette and Kay from Wednesday 1st February 2023

150 years ago Gawler residents were given a rare treat, a visit from a Lion , 100 years ago Perry Engineering works were proudly displaying the completed locomotive before it shipped to Tasmania, 50 years ago Murray Street was blocked by a capsized semi, 25 years ago there were calls for the instillation of air conditioning at the local “rec” centre, and 10 years ago the Gawler and District College opened its doors to students.
